1 KM OF MUSIC – A MUSIC INSTALLATION BY BRITA BJÖRS & IDA BJÖRS
MALMÖ LIVE KONSERTHUS, CONCERTS HALL’S FOYERS
"1 km of Music" is a concert, a performance, and site-specific art – all in one! Throughout the Folk Festival week, a 1-kilometer-long sheet of music, composed by Malmö musician Brita Björs, will stretch across the foyers of Malmö Live Konserthus. It will wind up and down stairs, hang from ceilings, walls, and railings. For two days, you can experience the artwork and the music.
Come and watch. Come and listen. Come and play.
"1 km of Music" consists of long fabric strips with musical notes, mounted in places like a forest, a city, or a giant room – a ribbon that is 1 km long. The appearance of the notes is quite varied: some more classical, others more unusual, with a bit of graphic notation and images. "1 km of Music" is a playful musical and visual work, a music installation performance.

Idea, Composition, Production – Brita Björs
Illustrator – Ida Björs
Production Assistant – John Dunsö
Composition Coach – Jesper Nielsen
Photography, Film – Max Tellving
Don't miss "1 km of Music" – After work at 3 PM on Friday.
And don't miss "1 km of Music" – Performance at 5 PM on Saturday.
